This is an inappropriate use of land in our Green Wedge.  A restaurant is an urban use which should be located in a township or Activity Centre to take advantage of existing infrastructure, commercial activity and urban amenity.

The land is zoned RCZ3 which prioritises conservation and soil-based use of the land.  A restaurant in this location will bring traffic movements and late-night noise into a currently peaceful rural environment.  If approved, this non-rural use would negatively impact on the existing quiet rural amenity.  It would establish a very poor precedent for future land use in this part of our Green Wedge.
